Why Mineral Sun Defense?
Chemical sunscreens are falling out of favour with North American consumers because they are a hazard to the natural ecosystems in oceans, rivers, and lakes. There are chemical sunscreen bans in Mexico, select areas in the USA (Hawaii, Key West, U.S. Virgin Islands), Bonaire, Aruba and Palau.
Over the past 12 months, skoah has reformulated its sun defense products to be 100% mineral sunscreen.
Mineral sunscreens are non-toxic to the environment. A completely mineral sunscreen only uses zinc oxide or titanium dioxide as its active sun defense ingredient. These active ingredients do not damage the ecosystems in oceans, lakes and rivers.
Mineral sunscreens contain a natural “shield” against the sun's UVA and UVB rays that instantly and effectively reflect the sun's rays.
Mineral sunscreens also start protecting your skin immediately after application, are well tolerated by most sensitive skin, and last longer on the skin.

A mineral-based ingredient with broad-spectrum sun defense and soothing properties. It forms a physical barrier on the skin to reflect and scatter harmful UVA & UVB rays, making it an effective and safe alternative to chemical sunscreens. Additionally, it is often preferred by those with sensitive skin due to its gentle, non-irritating nature. Zinc Oxide is also considered more environmentally friendly compared to some chemical sunscreens because it doesn't degrade and enter the water supply.

I have a hard time finding face sunscreens that aren’t greasy and don’t break me out. This is perfect! Been using it for a couple of months now and I’m ordering another as we speak!
This product has become a summer essential for me. Sun protection is so essential, and the Canadian sun does not hold back in the peak of summer. Anytime during the day I need to reapply I reach for the zink lotion! My only bonus to this product would be if it didn’t need to be layered on top of moisturizer.
Love this sunscreen. Doesn't sting your eyes when you sweat, good for lakes and oceans and I can wear it everyday and it doesn't make me shiny or cause breakouts on my combination skin.
